CASAREZ ACCOMPLISHES HUGE FEAT OUTSIDE OF THE RING

Casarez1PHARREdinburg’s Raul “El Tigre” Casarez is a promoter’s dream inside the ring since the fighter always puts on a great show. However, Marines Promotions president Julio Marines said that Casarez is also a promoter’s dream outside of the ring.

“Raul accomplished a feat that I have never seen before and that is selling over $18,000 dollars of tickets all by himself,” said Marines at the official press conference for Border Brawl 3 at Poncho’s Mexican Restaurant on Thursday afternoon. “He sold about 18 of the 24 tables’ ringside and sold a lot of general admission tickets as well.”

“I am extremely impressed by what he did and there is no doubt a fighter like Raul that does this is a promoter’s dream. Usually just mentioning the name Raul Casarez sells tickets, however he goes out and hustles tickets all on his own.”

Casarez, who will face Beaumont’s Justin Williams in the 8-round main event this Saturday at the Pharr Events Center, said that it is the fans that actually deserve the credit.

“I have to give all of the credit to the fans because they are the ones that spend their hard earned money to come out and show their support for me,” said Casarez. “Because of that, it motivates me to work harder and train harder so I can give the fans a good show.”

“Another thing that really helps me in selling all of these tickets and tables to the fans and sponsors is that I have become very good friends with them over the years. We have developed a great relationship and I always tell them that if they ever need anything from me, I will guarantee that I will deliver and help them out anyway possible.”

James Gogue, Casarez’s trainer, said that in all of the years he has been in this business, he has never seen anyone sell tickets the way Casarez has.

“I have worked with world champions in the past and none of them ever went out and personally sold tickets the way Raul did,” said Gogue. “He definitely went above the call of duty and not only worked his tail off inside of the ring, but he also did it outside of the ring.”
